My Treatment
PROGRAMME TITLE: The Scamps trailer
DIRECTOR/

DURATION: 25 seconds
FORMAT: DV
AUDIENCE: I feel that students would be the most realistic people for the audience.
STORY RESUME:
My reasons for doing this trailer are because if you are into awards nights you will love being a guest at ours.
Structure of trailer
Close up shot of red curtains with voice over saying for one night only at the Hawth near you we present The Scamp Awards.
Curtain opens up and goes into a series of jump shots of people receiving awards. Submit the curtains shutting with Nicky or Becky thanking everyone. On a black screen there will be a voice over saying the date and time.

Things i will have to do in my role
setting up - Part
managing the props, and possibly the design, budgets and liaising with the production manager regarding costings;
supervising the 'get in' to the theatre, when the set, lighting and sound are installed, and the 'get out', when all the equipment is removed;
compiling and operating prompt copy - also known as the 'prompt script', or 'the book' - noting actors' moves, changes to the set between scene changes, prompting actors and cueing technicians; - work with host and script writer
ensuring the company's welfare and maintaining a good working knowledge of all relevant health and safety legislation and good working practice; - Health and Safety
running the backstage and onstage areas during performances;
liaising with the director, stage personnel and other technical departments (e.g. costume, lighting, sound);
calling actors for rehearsals and performances.

Treatment
I am going to create a poster and leaflet for a “BAFTA” night at The Hawth. On my poster I will include the college’s colours and logo’s. I want to keep something simple for my poster. I will have a picture of a student holding a camera. This will represent our college course. I will include prices and the time and date of the show. My idea for my leaflet is to have the college colours in blocks on the leaflet to represent the college. Inside the leaflet I will include a bit about this course, this enables the audience to have a rough idea of what we do on our course. I will also include the nominations for the awards night so that the audience will know what to expect on the show. I will use a template on Microsoft publisher to lay out my leaflet.
I have also decided to create a brochure for the audience so that they can sit there and have a read about the events that are coming on, or they can take it home as a souvenir from the night. I will also give a special thanks to the tutors, students and audience for making the night happen.
